Poker Players wait while Quebec online casino settles disputes

    Category: Casino Canada Online

Canadian players who are regulars at Full Tilt Poker will have to put their poker gambling activities on hold for now because the Department of Justice in the USA has seized the domains of the poker rooms. It came as a shock to many players in Canada and the US when their accounts were frozen all of a sudden. Although the online gambling is offered legally in British Columbia and Quebec by their respective provincial governments the crackdown by the US Justice Department has put a stop to several gambling online activities.

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission lies within the borders of Quebec and is administered by the First Nations natives of the Mohawk Territory. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission has decided to perform a review of Full Tilt’s Secondary Client Provider Authorization and this will hopefully establish if Full Tilt’s license is still valid.  It was also recently revealed that the Quebec Poker Tournament League will suspend all gaming activities after the organization got entangled in a dispute with Loto-Quebec.

These events are just proving how much damage the US Department of Justice has done the online poker world. It looks like poker players in Canada have nothing else to do but wait till the storm passes and hope that they get their money back and that the Canadian online gambling industry will get back to normal soon.
